Where can a tiny Palm Beach pup go to sniff, stroll and make friends? Here are the official spots, with the rules to know before you go. (Always check the official page before a visit; hours and fees change.)

County dog parks (all have a small-dog area)

Palm Beach County runs four dog parks, each with a separate small-dog area. They're open sunrise to sunset. Dogs must be vaccinated and wearing current licenses, dogs must be leashed coming and going, there's a limit of 2 dogs per person, and no food is allowed. Puppies under 4 months aren't allowed.

Beaches

Jupiter Dog BeachAbout 2.5 miles of beach from dune marker #26 (north of Ocean Cay Park, 2188 Marcinski Rd) to #57 (south of Carlin Park)Open sunrise to sunset; free parking. Dogs may be off-leash but not in lifeguarded areas. The Town of Jupiter asks that dogs be leashed from the car to the beach and around small children, and Friends of Jupiter Beach keeps bags at every crossover.
Bark Beach at Spanish River ParkBoca Raton, between lifeguard towers 18 and 20Open 7 days a week, 7 to 9 am and 3 pm to sunset (5 pm to sunset during daylight saving time). Each dog needs a permit, with a limit of 2 dogs per person. The city lists fees as of Oct 1, 2026 of $70 resident annual, $630 non-resident annual and $20 for three days, but an earlier 2026 notice showed lower prices, so confirm with the city.

County parks and beaches

Dogs are allowed in most Palm Beach County parks on a leash no longer than six feet. They are not allowed on county beaches (except the designated dog beaches above), and ADA service animals are exempt.

Before you go: make sure your pup's rabies vaccine and county license tag are current. Our dog rules guide explains both. And in summer, check the pavement and sand first (heat safety guide).

Friendly info, not veterinary, medical or legal advice. Rules, hours and fees change, so check the official source, and always ask your own vet about your pup.
